Feeling the
sun on their cheeks like a warm iron.
In this
quote we can see how Ray Bradbury in a short sentence he can make you feel how
the sun heat felt in the kid’s skin. In this part of the story the kids are
going outside to play after 7 years of raining day and night. He’s making the
reader use his touch sense by using the word feeling and also comparing it to
something like warm iron.
She was an
old photograph dusted from an album, whitened away, and if she spoke at all her
voice would be a ghost.
Margot... a
girl from another planet that is being bullied by his classmates. In this quote
we can realize that Margot is a girl that is different from others and when she
talks no one really listen to her because she is weird to others. Ray Bradbury
is characterizing the protagonist so descriptively that then on in the story we
will know how this character is and how is he going to act. Also when the
author uses characterization well you will learn more things from the story
such as how that person is or how he changes during the story.
I like how Ray Bradbury use imagery in his book because it describes it perfectly to let the reader be able to have an image or feel what is being descript inside his head. also I like how he make the reader know what is the personality of each character by making each one say and do things that make them unique by using characterization.
In this
amazing short story we can see that the message is that we should be careful of
how we treat the environment because in the future we can have problems such as
rain every day or changes of climate like is happening right now already.
Adding
to this the theme inside this story is that people should appreciate others and
listen their ideas, because they will always be useful for something. Just
because someone is different they aren’t able to be discriminated and don’t
being even seen. We can realize of this theme because of the imagery and
personification that the author shows during the story.
