Built our Lives

No choices. People aren’t able to build their lives based on what they want. No differences, no races, no colors... everything the same. Jonas wants to change this in his community, because he already knows what is to be different, he knows about color, and different kind of personalities. The next feelings that Jonas had felt was PAIN, was sunburn. Then on he really felt what real pain is, he felt WAR. Jonas is shocked about it; he couldn’t believe that people are able to do that. The difference is that in his community, there are not choices so people are not able to choose what they want so conflicts are not created. Lot of new memories had been told to Jonas, and he is happy to have them and learn from them, but the problem is that he is not able to apply it in his community I realize that Gabriel has the ability to see beyond because when Jonas tells his memories to his littles brother, Gabriel is able to see them.

''If everything’s the same, then there aren’t any choices! I want to wake up in the morning and decide things! A blue tunic, or a red one?''

Jonas wants to be able to choose, to build his life: How their future would be? What will happen next? In Jonas community they already can predict their lives and they aren’t able to choose what they like and have a different personality than his society. In life people need identity, need choices and need to be different of others to be a REAL person. What people should have in life is INDIVIDUALITY, to be able to choose what they want to create a life by their own and not by the elders. I can connect this with my life because my parents give education to me but they don’t create my life. From what I learn from them is from where I make my decisions based on positive and negative things.

 VIDEO ABOUT IDENTITY- BY SAVVANAH

In this video we can see the importances of being yourself and do what you want, not matter what others think about you and be yourself in every moment in your life. In Jonas society no one is like her, no one knows the REAL them.

The New Reciever

Jonas controlled and ´´perfect´´ world has already choos the new reciever of memories at the ceremonie of twelve. The new reciever will start his new training. He meet the Giver and had his first training, that was to experience snow and cold, he slid in a sled. For the first time he feel free and plesure abot what he was doing. her e jonas realize what his assignments will be and how he will be trained, but he hadnt feel extreme physical pain, just sun burn. nos jonas feel diferent and is starting to open his mind to a new world diferent from his society. jonas for the first time realized the diference beyween pain and pleasure. Jonas will be able to feel and be the brave anof to that extreme pain? How he will react to that?
 Changes in his view...
An other thing that start changing in jonas and he reacts by telling to the Giver is that he start seing more colors, like in Fiona´s red hair.

 Mememories
Its incredible how can he learn the importance if memories in our life, and how we learn of things that happened in our past. i think that the giver will teach all the readers of this book how memories are impostant for us and how pain affect us and also what is pleasure in life and the importance of it.

THE RULES OF JONAS( RECIEVER OF MEMORIES)
He had never, within his memory, been tempted to lie. (70)
When I read the last rule I was shocked just like jonas was. YOU MAY LIE,like you see on the quote above Jonas reacted really bad to this because is something that he had learn since we was little and it would not be something good to change. I also think that because is not easy for me to just start saying lot of lies just because im allowed to. I was really shocked with this and I dont know how jonas will act by that rule. Is he going to lie? Our he will be honest of what he did and think?

Changes will Come Some Day

The second part of the story I read that Jonas experience new things, he feel stirrings for Fiona the first time in his dreams and tell his parents how this fell and that he like this wired and different feelings. His parents tell him it was something normal that happen to everyone when they are teenagers. After this, the ceremony of naming start, in this ceremonies they put names and a house to new children. then the next ceremonies continue, the ceremonies of twos, threes, four..... to 7 and in ceremonie of eight, Lily that is Jonas sister receive the bicycle. ceremonies continues until it gets to twelve and the committee start saying the numbers of each person. The new receiver is Jonas and he will be the one who recieve memories from the past and save them for the future.
I think that his assignment will be incredible but difficult because he will be the owner and the one that knows all the memories.

The Giver Fist View

After interviewing the book i came to a conclusion that this book will be about  world were a kid named Jonas live, this society is all controlled. He will be able to realize of things out of it and be different in his society. in the dedication page we can see how the author is telling to new generations like us that we are responsible for the future and it consequences. Our generations need to start taking more care bout or world and wars because in any moment it can change and start being a kind of dystopia where we will not be happy. Also that the old generations have trust in us and our next generations because we should be responsible and helpful.

I think that in this book Jonas will enter to anew world and realize of things that are different from his society.

Dystopia

1-
In this week I read that Jonas dystopia is a world that everything is controlled and have laws. Here you can see that this book have lot of dystopia because everything I trying to be controlled and perfect but people are not living as normal and happy persons. In this society we can see how people are not free to choose what to do in their lives and what their goal will be by improving their acts and thoughts. So here we can see that it isn't a perfect society because freedom is not applied.

´´I felt strange. Because their methods were different. they were learning usages that mt group hadn't learned  yet, so we felt stupid´´ Lily said. In this quote we can see how the author is showing the reader that this world is different and they don't know about the outside world the surround them. These impacted me because she in one sentence can show the reader how the people in that community are. She is using a strategies that impacts me because she describe thing in a sentence and from that sentence you learn lot of things and morals.

I think that this book will change a lot because Jonas will start realizing of things that happens, that people in his society is not able to see because they are controlled by perfection and equality. Jonas will teach the readers that you need to follow in what you think is right to discover new things and find your goal that you fight nd improve everything for it because you choose it and wanted, not like in his society that the are nor free to choose.
